A student visa must be requested at the nearest Chilean consulate or Embassy in the country of origin prior to arriving in Chile.

 

Once you are in Chile, visa papers must be recorded with the Immigration and International Police Office in no more than 30 days after you arrive in the country. The Immigration and International Police Office will issue a certificate that must be presented to the Civil Registry and Identification Service in order to obtain a National Identity Card.

 

A minimum of 370,000 Chilean pesos will be required monthly to cover your living expenses. Expenses will vary depending on the individual needs of each student.

Santiago
has a moderate Mediterranean climate. Temperatures range on average in winter time from 4ºC to 15ºC (39ºF and 59ºF). In summer, temperatures vary between 13ºC and 28ºC (55ºF and 82ºF).

Concepción
has a moderate Mediterranean climate influenced by the ocean. The winter is very rainy, with temperatures averaging between 4ºC and 14ºC (39ºF and 57ºF). There is little rain in summer time and temperatures range from 10ºC to 20ºC (50ºF to 68ºF).
