We are interested in our students becoming integral people who are committed to what goes on in their country and have a vocation for service.
Our students engage in diverse extracurricular activities, ranging from sports to social gatherings.
Ambassadors of the Future
In this program, students at the university visit different countries to get a glimpse of their realities and gain a social awareness through hands-on experience. The project is oriented not only towards sharing know-how about the situations on which it focuses, but also towards creating values and tools for each student to be able to develop fully in the public and social environment.
The integrating experience of this initiative is important. For seven days, students from all programs meet and share in an absolutely different setting. It is open to all students at the university and credits are earned towards the Public Responsibility course, the University's seal course that all undergraduate students must take because of the distinctive formation it impresses upon them.
Sports
The objective is to promote regular physical activity and creation among students at the University. At this time there are nine athletic divisions: men’s and women’s volleybal, men’s basketball, handball, tennis, tae kwon do and soccer.
Winter and Summer Social Work
This is an activity totally headed by the students through which they make a concrete contribution to solidarity. They visit economically depressed communities and live with their inhabitants. We are certain that for all those who participate, this becomes an unforgettable experience of their university life.
Debate Club
In this Club, students gather around an activity that creates a space to develop the capacity to introduce and defend ideas in front of students coming from other universities.
Drama and Choir
To all students who have artistic abilities, the University offers the opportunity to participate in a Drama and Choir group headed by renowned professionals inthese areas.
Pastoral Counseling and Spiritual Aid at the University
The UDD Pastoral Counseling helps bring students into the faith and organize the solidary action inside the University. UDD students participate in missions every year held in differing locations in Chile.
