Pysiotherapy: Professional Internship and Clinical Rehabilitation

**Program available for students with a B2 Spanish level**

How is the Professional Internship and Clinical Rehabilitation of Physiotherapy at Universidad del Desarrollo?

Our students do their internship in 4 rotations: cardiorespiratory, musculoskeletal, neurorehabilitation and a fourth that can be in geriatrics, primary care, cardiac rehabilitation, research, management, among others. Each of them has a duration of 8 weeks.

Each of the rotations has the purpose that students act in clinical scenarios, exploring more deeply one of the areas of Physiotherapy, and that implies mobilizing their own resources acquired in previous stages and resources from the work environment, in a way that consolidates the capacity to solve different problems inherent to the professional area, arguing the decision in this regard.

For proper student learning, methodologies will be implemented that promote quality thinking in relation to the different contents of this subject. Students will experience a supervised assistance and administrative work, under the tutoring modality. These tutors are professionals from an institution in agreement with the University or directly with the Physiotherpy Program. On a personal level, students must carry out work and study autonomously, which must be reported to their clinical tutor.

Students will be evaluated in a formative and summative way, with presentation of clinical cases, development of an educational project, development of a management project and clinical evaluation of a real patient.

Rotation Areas

The student must indicate, in order of priority, the rotations of his/her interest. The career at UDD will finally assign the area, center and tutor according to availability of places for the semester.

Length of Rotations

Each rotation lasts 8 weeks, and exchange students can do one or more rotations, depending on the availability of centers for the year of interest.

Clincial Centers

The clinical field will depend on the area where the student obtains a place and the availability of tutors.
