Since the launch of the COIL UDD program in 2020, a large number of courses across our degree programs have incorporated this collaborative learning methodology.
During the course, and for a set period of time, you will work in teams with students from UDD to solve a challenge/project/activity in a 100% virtual format.
Participating in a COIL course allows you to develop key skills such as the ability to collaborate in multicultural teams, understand different perspectives, and adapt to diverse ways of thinking and communicating. A highly sought-after profile in today鈥檚 job market!
Expanding your perspective will help you understand how your discipline is applied in different countries and contexts. You鈥檒l learn from international peers, comparing ideas and solutions to real-world problems. An international experience鈥攔ight from your classroom!
You'll connect with students and professors at UDD and all over the world, creating a valuable international network for your future. These relationships can open doors to international academic/job opportunities. Start building your global community today!
During this first virtual session, both professors (UDD and foreign) will present the activity/project, deadlines and, most importantly, you’ll meet your team for this collaboration.
Either in a synchronous or asynchronous manner, and once the first session was conducted, you’ll start working with your team in the assigned project. Remember that the deadline was established by your professors.
By the end of the collaboration, students and professors from both countries get together for a last virtual session. This instance is devoted to wrap up the project and reflect about the experience of working in a multicultural team.
