Summer and Winter Volunteer Work
During the summer and winter vacations, students from all faculties have the opportunity to visit low-income communities in order to help them through many activities such as construction and restoration of schools and houses, legal assistance, and talks on the prevention of alcoholism and drug addiction.
The community work is a marvelous eye-opening experience where students live together with people inserted in an extremely different reality and learn through experience about the basic necessities of the population of Chile. If you are interested in participating, you have to contact the Coordinator Gonzalo Cruces firstname.lastname@example.org.
It is a Catholic project where students can be part of the construction of a chapel for a community in need, and in addition, they will be able to bring Christ to the families, leaving a “footprint” in your life and in your hearts. If you are interested in this activity, you have to contact the Coordinator María José Ruiz-Tagle email@example.com.
There are many ways to put into practice your field of study, one of them is through interventions in a neighborhood or a community. For seven days you can help with your knowledge to those who can not do it on their own. If you are interested in this activity, you have to contact the Coordinator Ximena Besa firstname.lastname@example.org.
Do you like singing? acting? Then you have to be part of the Musical UDD. Here you will learn how to handle presentations in public and develop different skills such as singing, vocalization, acting and dancing.
Some of the musicals we have already performed are Los Miserables, Chicago, Grease, FAME, among others. This activity requires staying one year at UDD due to rehearsals, if you are interested in participating, please contact the Coordinator Margarita Meledanri email@example.com.
We invite you to rejoice the hospitalization of children and adults of the Padre Hurtado Hospital
“Medication relieves pain, but only love can alleviate suffering.” If you are interested in participating, please contact the Coordinator Margarita Meledanri firstname.lastname@example.org.
